Equally important the fall activities are aligned to Common Core Standards and can be used in a writing center, small group or whole group.  It can also be used as a fun morning work activity.  Nine Label It! Write about it! Fall activities are included.

Fall Activities Aligned to WIDA Can Do Descriptors

Accordingly the fall label it activities helps meet the needs of your Level one and Level two English Language learners based on their WIDA can do descriptors.  It is also fun for all of your young scholars.

The children will carefully look at the pictures, read the words in the word bank with a teacher, write the words from the word bank on the labels to match the pictures and finally write a story using the words.

This is great practice to get your students ready for their WIDA Access test.

Differentiate the fall activities

Differentiate

Additionally it is so easy to differentiate your students writing.  For students needing support they can write sentences using a structured sentence frame.  An example would be, “I see a __________.  They would fill in the sentence frame from the labels.  For more advanced students they can turn the words into a story with varied sentence structures.

How to Differentiate the fall writing.

Likewise the graphics are very fun and enjoyable for the students to color.

Giving the students a choice in the pictures they choose to label is another way to motivate your young scholars.
