Our English Language Learners need alphabet activities no matter their age when learning the English Language. Reading research shows that automatic letter recognition it the key to automatic word recognition. Ninety percent of poor readers have problems at the word level. That’s a reason I wanted to make this resource to help our sweet English Language Learners.

After teaching ELLS for many years, I decided to create lessons for each letter because they were coming with varying knowledge of letters and their sounds. Each letter has lesson plans included!

What is Included?

This bundle of Alphabet Activities includes detailed lessons to make your planning easy!

Detailed Lesson Plans

Each letter includes a poster for each letter and a keyword letter card!

An Alphabet book is included In order to help with vocabulary as well as letter sounds!

Handwriting pages are included for each letter to ensure proper letter formation.

Letter sorts will teach your students the difference in the uppercase and lowercase letters.

Your students will LOVE finding the letter and coloring it!

Find and color the letters.

Interactive cut, paste and read printables are fun for the students. They can look at the picture, lift the flap and read the word!

Easy readers will let your students practice the vocabulary words, letter sounds and learn easy high frequency words. You will have them reading quickly and confidently!

What student doesn’t like the challenge of a maze?

Lastly your students will enjoy completing an alphabet Color by Code. This is a great time to differentiate.  Some students will be able to read the words on the color by code and others will not be able to read it.  The students needing extra support may look at their “Word Book” or the Letter Alphabet Chart to help them complete the Color by Code.

Hope you will find these beneficial to your students! Click here to get the Bundle. Each letter is also available individually. Would love to hear your feedback! Read here for additional Tips for your English Language Readers!
